# Support

## How do I get help?

Pick the channel that fits:

- **Ask an AI agent.** This whole site is built to be read by agents (every page has a [Markdown twin](/llms.txt)), so asking your AI assistant is often the fastest route to an answer — see [Agents](/access/agents/).
- **Ask the community.** The [OpenAlex User Group](https://groups.google.com/g/openalex-users) is our public forum — other users are often quick with answers, and we post announcements there.
- **Come to office hours.** We host weekly office hours where anyone can show up and talk through questions with the team: [openalex.org/events](https://openalex.org/events).
- **File a support ticket** at [openalex.org/contact](https://openalex.org/contact) — the right channel for account issues, data errors, and anything that needs us specifically.

Reporting a data error? A ticket is the default lane for that too — see [Fixing errors](/access/fixing-errors/) for how error reports are handled and which fixes you can make yourself.

## How long does it take to get a response to a ticket?

We check the help desk daily and read every ticket. But we're a small team getting hundreds of tickets a month, so honestly: we can't respond to every one, and a response can take a few weeks. Tickets matter even when they don't get a reply — they're a key input into what we prioritize and fix.

If your organization relies on OpenAlex and needs guaranteed, timely support, that's included in our [paid plans](/access/pricing/).
