# Supporter tools

## How do I activate the Admin Dashboard?

The Admin Dashboard shows OpenAlex usage data for your institution: how many of your users are on OpenAlex, and the API calls made by your research community.

1. Identify the users at your institution who should see this data (typically economic buyers or e-resource librarians).
2. Have each of them create an account at [openalex.org](https://openalex.org) ("Sign up", top right).
3. Send their names and email addresses to [kyle@openalex.org](mailto:kyle@openalex.org), and we'll enable dashboard access on their accounts.

## How do I activate the Affiliation Editor?

The Affiliation Editor lets you curate the affiliation strings OpenAlex matches to your institution — removing erroneous matches and adding missed ones — with your changes live in OpenAlex within about two days. To activate it, contact [kyle@openalex.org](mailto:kyle@openalex.org). We provide group training and video resources first, then enable the tool on specific accounts at your institution. We periodically monitor curation accuracy to keep quality high.

## How do I activate Unsub?

[Unsub](https://unsub.org) gives you data-driven forecasts of the true cost and value of your journal packages to guide subscription decisions — it's used by hundreds of libraries worldwide.

Send the names and email addresses of up to 3 users at your institution (typically collections librarians) to [kyle@openalex.org](mailto:kyle@openalex.org), and we'll create their logins. We provide online documentation and shared training videos, but not direct Unsub support; if you want consulting help with analyses and implementation, we recommend Eric Schares ([scharesdatascience@gmail.com](mailto:scharesdatascience@gmail.com)), an experienced Unsub super-user.
